this is my blog.  it's where I talk about what's happening in my life.

sometimes that's my kids (we have three little people under the age of 5: Madison, Macy and Maxwell).

sometimes it's projects I'm working on or the super cool clients I get to work with.

regardless, this is where you'll find stories about each. that's really what this blog is all about - stories. it is the stories of people, projects and life that I get excited about.

    I am a husband, a father and a photographer.

    I've been a photographer most of my life. I've always been drawn to the ability of photography to tell stories in a way that nothing else can. My background is as a documentary photographer, and - in addition to weddings - I've been blessed to photographed hundreds of events, people , places and stories across the country, and around the world.

    I've been fortunate to work for some incredible clients - capturing and sharing their stories - and I never forget how blessed I am to get to do what I do.

    In addition, I love sharing my life with my family - my wife Beth, our amazing daughters Madison and Macy, and our son Maxwell. I love that I get to be a dad and every time they laugh, it melts my heart. They are growing up so fast, and, I can only begin to imagine how I’ll feel the day one of them walks down the isle. Even thinking about it takes my breath away.

    OR, another way:

    I married my very best friend - the one person I can't imagine NOT having in my life.

    I am a dad - I love it when my kids jump on me when I walk in the door.

    I shoot Nikon, and edit on a Mac, using Apple's Aperture software.

    I love to travel... almost as much as I love being at home.

    I started playing the piano when I was 3, and it's still my favorite way to "let it out."

    I'm a news junkie.  My google reader feed includes everything from Wired, to Fast Company, to Relevant Mag to Fox News.  

    I'm an extrovert, but I still love quiet mornings with a cup of coffee and a newspaper.

    I still read the paper, almost every day - on my iPad.

    I love watching people.

    I love airports, and airplanes, and hotels, and crowded city streets.

    I'm a sucker for a good Merlot.

    I'm an even bigger sucker for a good story.
