this is my blog.  it's where I talk about what's happening in my life.

sometimes that's my kids (we have three little people under the age of 5: Madison, Macy and Maxwell).

sometimes it's projects I'm working on or the super cool clients I get to work with.

regardless, this is where you'll find stories about each. that's really what this blog is all about - stories. it is the stories of people, projects and life that I get excited about.

    ERIN & TRAVIS, UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN [ENGAGEMENT]

    I always enjoy it when I get a chance to shoot somewhere new.  Being in a different place helps force me to look around me - to see things differently.  Erin and Travis choose the campus of U of M for their engagement session, and despite the fact that we are die-hard Spartans at our house, I was excited to explore and discover new places with them!

    Erin was an architecture major at U of M, and what an incredible display of beautiful buildings!  You can shoot anywhere on this campus and find both amazing light, incredible textures, and gorgeous surroundings.  

    It took us three tries to finally get out for our session.  Twice we were rained out.  I feel like maybe God was trying to prevent me from entering enemy territory, but today the heavens actually shined down and the weather behaved.

    Erin and Travis are a wonderful couple, and I can't wait for their wedding in August.  Until then, here's a sneak peak of our morning!
